In Las Vegas, Ryan Garcia secured a swift stoppage victory over British contender Conor Benn. The American champion retained his WBC welterweight title with a decisive second-round stoppage following a heavy sequence of strikes.
Right after his fast win, Garcia immediately demanded that WBA welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez step into the ring for a confrontation. However, event security intervened and prevented Lopez from entering the ring.
The WBC belt holder also turned his sights on WBO champion Devin Haney, who was watching from ringside. Garcia voiced his clear objective to take on his divisional rivals and capture all four major world titles.
