Lauren Price and Michaela Kotaskova will meet in Cardiff on November 20. The Welsh fighter is set to defend her unified WBA, WBC and IBF welterweight titles at the Utilita Arena, with the announced bout to be shown live by the BBC.

Kotaskova’s recent record

Kotaskova enters the title fight with 12 wins, one defeat and two draws. Her points loss to Chantelle Cameron at light-middleweight in April remains her only defeat in 15 professional contests.

Claressa Shields will not be next

Price told BBC Sport Wales that talks over a fight with Claressa Shields had broken down. She confirmed that her next major bout would not be against the American, while leaving open the possibility of facing her at a later stage.

Price also told the BBC that she expects a major fight in early 2027 but did not identify the prospective opponent. The plan remains conditional: Price stressed that she must first overcome Kotaskova on November 20.
